Infant & Toddler

Our Lambs Fold program is for infants and toddlers ages 6 weeks to potty trained.

For babies not yet crawling we offer a soft, clean, safe and secure environment. Your child will be loved and nurtured by a primary caregiver who will know your child’s special personality and needs by spending one-on-one time with your child throughout the day. Your child will always be held when bottle fed and throughout the day, and your child’s cries will be promptly tended to. Love, affection and bonding with the important people in your child’s life are crucial beginning steps in forming security and trust.

We encourage development of large motor skills by allowing as much “floor time” as possible, therefore sitting in swings and play seats will be kept to a minimum. To develop verbal skills we also converse and sing to babies as we care for them. Believe it or not, your child’s reading skills begin now and we encourage this development by reading to your child.

As babies grow into toddlers, we add activities to their day to encourage imaginative play, potty training, self care, coordination, social skills, and exploration of their environment and world. Toddlers have been called “Little Scientists” by child development specialists. At this stage their brains are developing faster than at any other time in their lives. We feel it is important to provide an environment rich in sensory experiences while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

Observation is a crucial component of our care as it allows us to know your infant or toddler on a very deep level. In this way we can provide appropriate care and activities specially tailored to your child. We have quality age appropriate educational materials that will evoke your child’s natural curiosity and challenge, but not frustrate. Of course your child will be encouraged with lots of smiles and hugs!

It is our goal to provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating, loving and understanding environment for your precious little person. Our hope is that he or she will grow up to be a good citizen capable of fulfilling all his or her God-given potential. It is also our goal for you as a parent to feel respected, listened to, and understood. We welcome all parental input and encourage you to call or visit your child’s room at any time.
